Mathetes - On Christian's Behavior

Early Christian quote for the day:

They marry, as do all [others]; they beget children; but they do not destroy their offspring. They have a common table, but not a common bed. They are in the flesh, but they do not live after the flesh.
- Mathetes to Diognetus (130AD?)
I know a liberal Jesuit or two who could benefit from learning a bit about how Christians have lived historically.

Wow, that's an awesome letter. Those middle chapters are definitely inspired by the Beatitudes. I'm bookmarking that.
