US House Wants to Subsidize Culture of Death Around the World

This is why it's important for us to vote.

Washington, Jun. 15, 2007 (C-fam.org/CWNews.com) - Democratic legislative leaders in the US House of Representative are pushing for foreign-aid subsidies to groups that lobby for legalization of abortion in other countries, the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute (C-Fam) reports.

One of my favourite passages in Witness To Hope describes the runup to the Cairo Population Conference in the 1990s and JPII's campaign against the push for including abortion in a document on "reproductive health care". One bright moment came when Al Gore made a speech claiming that the US wasn't pushing for abortion as an international human right. To which Navarro-Valls - with no contradiction from JPII - bluntly stated that the draft document was sponsored by the US, basically calling Gore a liar.

I wish for once somebody would be honest and say what this is really all about, that it's about rich folks not wanting poor folks to make babies.
