Me @ Work

This is a dinner we had for work last week. For those of you who don't know, I work at a gospel rescue mission. Hah! A Catholic surrounded by Protestants and Protestant theology all day long. God must have a sense of humor. (I was a Protestant when I started working here).

Thanks. You know I listened to my voice on a recording from a gig when I was in a rock band several years ago and I was like "sweet I sound like Lynyrd Skynyrd or someone" ... well that works better for a rock band than for a formal banquet lol! So I have to try and keep my southern rocker (oh heck lets just say it: Redneck) tendencies from coming out in my voice on the mic.

I finally have my own identity.

Nice video Tim.

It sounds like a wonderful place to work.

BTW

Lynyrd Skynyrd has always been my favorite band. I also love Nascar. The Gibbs teams.

Does this make me a MD Redneck. :)

I'm not a musician, but my hubby is one. He was on our worship team (played bass) for most of when we attended a Calvary Chapel church. And he was a musician when I met him 26 years ago. He was playing keyboard at a bar I was visiting with a friend from work. Was playing House of the Rising Sun or something when I first laid eyes on him. Fell in love at first site! Okay, maybe it wasn't love, but I really, really liked him! ;) The love quickly developed, though, as he's a wonderful person. Something about those musicians. :)

I probably (unconsciously) try to keep my own southern twang to a minimum. This is a sin. The northern infidels, i.e., the robotic followers of that imperialistic despot and war-monger Lincoln and his totalitarian political heirs- Republicans ( war-mongering capitalists) and Democrats (genocidal socialists)- have taken over our land, probably for good. But we can still hate what they stand for. Go native, young man.

Hah! Now thats funny. Yup, I'm one of the few down here. Most people tell me they don't hear an accent in my voice but thats only because they don't hear me at the right times and in the right company.
